SAFETY & SECURITY
The safety and security of our fans, exhibitors, guests, and staff is our priority. Please plan ahead and note the following guidelines to help us deliver a safe and fun experience for everyone.
If you attend with any type of bag (backpack, purse, etc.), you will be asked to join a line for a bag check. If you are attending without a bag, your entry will be faster. Bag check is in effect every time you re-enter the building.
You will be screened with a metal detector at entry/re-entry points each time you enter the building.
Our Props Policy can be read in its entirety online, but the top-line info is:
- If it’s not legal on the street, it’s not legal at Boston Comic Con. Authorities will be onsite to deal with any illegal items.
- Metal props (guns, swords, etc.) and wooden props (baseball bats, 2x4’s) are not allowed. Plastic props are typically allowed.
- Bows/slingshots are to be unstrung. Nerf guns and other foam bullet type toys are not to be loaded.
The final decision on whether a Prop is permitted inside Boston Comic Con rests with Security. There are no refunds given if you are turned away for not adhering to our policy.
COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT
If you would like to take a picture with or of another Boston Comic Con attendee, always ask first and respect that person’s right to say no.
